Beach
Amadores’ beach is an extensive bay with a rugged cliff side as its backdrop. Combined with beautiful golden sands and a name that translates as The Lovers (Los Enamorados), it is easy to understand why this beach has received a Blue Flag Award.

Running 800 metres long there is plenty of sand and although you are unlikely to find a private spot, you won’t feel crammed in either. Amadores beach is promoted as relaxing and peaceful and to maintain this sense of tranquility ball games and loud music are not allowed setting this beach apart from others on the south coast.
Romantic beach scenery

Although the beach is man made, it has been beautifully accomplished with a sweeping curved bay shape and even though the romantic setting of this beach attracts couples searching for the perfect sunset, it is also suitable for children. This is thanks to the breakwaters which protect the bay from the swell, and the soft sand beach which shelves gently into the calm waters.
Come sunset Amadores has a great vantage point for watching the sun disappear behind the dramatic volcano of Mount Teide on nearby Tenerife.
The beach has both access by wide steps and a ramp making it a good choice for families and those with reduced mobility. Showers are available.
