Gay nightlife

Come evening Playa del Ingles has one of the liveliest gay scenes around and the place to be without a doubt is the Yumbo centre. Attracting a mixed crowd of sunset cocktail seekers and drag shows clientele until around 11pm, the scene transforms into a predominantly gay audience come late evening.

From terrace bars to theme bars there is something to satisfy all tastes in Playa del Ingles.

Terrace bars

Adonis bar is a great place for starting your evening while Diamonds Bar is south west facing so good for late afternoon sun and cocktails. Gran Café Latino Bar with its Spanish music is perfect for a slice of culture.

Drag shows

Buddies Show Bar, Centre Stage Show Bar and Rickies Cabaret are all popular and attract a mixed crowd.

Theme bars

Theme bars tend to get going around 2am including highly recommended Cruise, the original denim & leather bar (www.cruisebaryumbo.com) and popular Cellar bar (http://www.thecellarmensbar.com/). Fiction Bar see the waiters get down to a thong and Prison Bar uniquely has a bath as a urinal and regular underwear only and nude nights.

Nightclubs

Nightclubs play on ‘til the morning including popular Heaven Nightclub, Mykonos Bar and for the real night owls, XL Men’s club, which is open the latest.

Something different

Try Looney Tunes for karaoke, Milford Café Bar for a mixed age group and Na Und Bar for an older vibe. Centre stage is great for non-stop musicals on a big screen.

Cita commercial centre

Cita commercial centre also has a great number of gay bars but is inexplicably quieter. Popular spots include Wein Café (www.cafe-wien.org), Ole restaurant, and Construction Gay Steam Sauna.
